The MAX-SAFE Reverse Watch® 2.0 system is an advanced reversing aid option for the MAX-SAFE Anti-Rollaway Brake System™ that is designed to assist the driver when reversing. It uses a rear mounted radar to detect objects in a pre defined monitored area behind the vehicle. When in reverse, if the radar detects an object within a pre-defined zone (the Detection Zone), it will first alert the driver, then, in combination with the MAX-SAFE Anti-Rollaway Brake System™, stops the vehicle in the event an object is detected in the pre-defined Danger Zone.
This Body-not-Home option overcomes unwanted brake applications whilst reversing for loading or unloading purposes. When the hooklift, tipper body, or slide body is in the HOME or STOWED position and the vehicle is in reverse, the system functions as designed, triggering a brake application if an obstacle is detected in the Danger Zone.
However, when the body is engaged and moved from the HOME or STOWED position, the braking of the system is disabled, allowing the driver to reverse without the brakes being automatically applied. While the system is engaged, the radar and in-cab display remain active, providing audible and visual warnings of obstacles in the Detection Zone at the rear of the vehicle, helping to maintain a high level of personnel and property detection.
This Body-not-home option is a supplement to the MAX-SAFE Anti-Rollaway Brake System™ and MAX-SAFE Reverse Watch® 2.0 System. This system must be installed according to the instructions included with the accompanying kits. Once these have been installed, the body-not-home option can be installed.
For how to operate the Reverse Watch® 2.0 system, please refer to the document Operational Functionality Guide – MAX-SAFE Reverse Watch® 2.0 – Body not-Home.
